Moleman's Epic Rap Battles #6: Nigel Uno Vs. Ernst Stavro Blofeld

This is currently the lowest-rated of all my battles in terms of YouTube likes/dislikes, though granted there aren’t all that many total votes on it by which to measure that rank to begin with, and in any case it’s something of a personal favorite of mine among my early battles despite probably being not very objectively good. Codename: Kids Next Door was pretty much my favorite show for a large portion of my childhood, and I’m glad to have found a satisfactory matchup by which to represent it in my series. I also particularly like the ending and James Bond’s cameo here.
This is also where I first brought in the voice of acquaintance and semi-regular “cast member” Paul Bergen, whom I probably could/should use more often in my Season 3 as I go into making it.

My Other Blog

It can be found here.

Note that the content of the two blogs is currently identical, as I'm just starting up with both of them, but naturally this may very well change as I put more content under my belt.

Moleman's Epic Rap Battles #5: XJ-9 Vs. S.A.I.N.T. #5 (A.K.A. Jenny Vs. Johnny)

The first of my second “wave” of battles after something of a hiatus following Penelope Vs. Gadget, this is where I first became serious about producing a large series of these things, evidenced by my switch to the in-video title of “Moleman’s Epic Rap Battles” as opposed to “Epic Rap Battles of History... (Fanmade.)”, a gag that was cute for my first few videos but had run its course.

This is also where I first brought the lovely Anna Valenzuela on board with my series.

These two are probably among the least-worthy, most obscure characters I’ve ever used, but the connection of their names was simply too good to pass up.
Gotta love that image (unfortunately not mine) that ended up being the thumbnail.

Moleman's Epic Rap Battles #4: Penelope Vs. Gadget

This was, naturally, made at a time when I was fascinated with the character of Penelope from the Sly Cooper games due to her then-very-recent and controversial role as a villain in the series' fourth installment. I even made a group dedicated to her on DeviantArt.

As for this battle itself, it's the only one of mine where ALL the voices were obtained from online, and also the first to feature a cameo by my very good friend CheatsythePimp A.K.A. DeepC. Also, Penny Gadget is a badass. Aside from those details, this is a pretty "meh" installment of my series in my personal views.

Moleman's Epic Rap Battles #3: Sally Acorn Vs. Mega Man

Sally Acorn Vs. Mega Man… now what can I say about this one? Obviously (okay, maybe not so obviously, I’m not a real web celebrity or anything) and somewhat surprisingly in hindsight, this always has been and continues to be one of my most successful battles, and is considered my “signature” matchup, mainly because it was such a random combination of characters that no one else would have ever thought to put together. Sally’s victory here has been the most common such topic of comments I’ve gotten across all of my MERB videos, which I guess I can attribute to the battle being unfairly designed, but probably also has something to do with my deliberately whiny, childish Mega Man voice.
Fun fact: I originally intended to make this as Sally Acorn Vs. Mrs. Brisby, and even started production (writing and video-assembly) on it in that form, but I found that I couldn’t satisfactorily write for Brisby, something that I could probably pull off now if I were to go on and use her in another context…

Moleman's Epic Rap Battles #2: Twilight Sparkle Vs. Mister Ed

Another classic, though this one is more-so in a “so bad it’s good” kind of way. Mister Ed’s outrageous lines make this probably my second-most audaciously offensive battle ever as well, next to Michael Rosen Vs. Jim Dale.
This was actually the first major idea I ever came up with, and I even made the cover image for it well before making Gwen Vs. Daria, at the time not yet intending to write and produce it as an actual battle.

Moleman's Epic Rap Battles #1: Gwen Vs. Daria

This is the video that started it all; quite literally so, as the idea came to me at the height of both my obsession with Total Drama and my original interest in Epic Rap Battles of History prior to making my own, and though it was not the first rap battle idea I had come up with in my head, it clicked extremely strongly, especially with my major emotional investment in Gwen’s character, and motivated me to actually make it at a time when my video output had previously been zero for some time. Truly, this inaugural installment of Moleman’s Epic Rap Battles made all the further ones possible, more-so than the average first episode of a series.

Here is my profile on another alternative art site, Shadowness. Due to both daily upload quantity limitations and me being a lazy schlep, not all of my Nava-Verse art has been uploaded there quite yet as of this posting, though with any competence on my part that should change within the next several days now that I'm back on top of posting on and promoting the profile.

I would also like to take this opportunity to praise Shadowness as a general site and outlet for content-sharing, and recommend that any artists out there reading this add themselves and their work to it.

Here is one place where a great deal of my content is hosted and can be viewed: My Flickr Account.

It includes the primary official script-cover publications for the various Moleman's Epic Rap Battles installments, as well as the complete Nava-Verse gallery (more on that project later) and some other images, mainly of the photomanipulation variety, made by me.

Moleman's Epic Rap Battles

Moleman's Epic Rap Battles is, as the title would imply to anyone familiar with the latter, a ripoff of Epic Rap Battles of History (AKA the greatest web video series of all time) produced by yours truly, my current primary focus in terms of creative projects, and something I intend to make a major focus of this very blog.

My aim in designing the matchups in this series is to be unique, quirky and unpredictable, and to pander to my own popular interests as well as pay respect to them. I make a point of the battles that I do standing no chance of being done by ERBoH, in which case my versions would become eclipsed, and most of the characters I use in general stand no real chance of being in said professional series either.

Moleman's Epic Rap Battles currently has twenty-eight complete battles comprising an even two complete seasons, and Season 3 is on the way as of this posting.

Most of my early battles are self-admittedy plagued by poor voice audio quality and some lackluster-written lines, but I have over the course of my video series so far made vast improvement from that initial point, and intend to improve further still going forward.

I will try to give every one of my old MERB's their own posts here, including my personal thoughts on each, and future installments will likely get various, multiple posts relating to them as their productions, which have become increasingly complex as I've made more battles, progress.

Moleman's Epic Rap Battles also has a Wikia Wiki, which was actually started not by myself but by a member of the general rap battle community who was making a point of documenting everyone's battles. Predictably, it doesn't get much traffic or outside editing, nor do I expect that to change all that much based on any publicity from this posting, but it is a place where I and a few choice online friends/fans of mine can be contacted, and if anyone reading this really is interested and/or does want to help, they are welcome to check it out / do so.

Here We Go...

Welcome to the long-overdue official creative and work blog of MolemanNineThousand/Moleman9000, creator of Moleman's Epic Rap Battles, the Nava-Verse, IHNMAIMS and Gnorga YouTube Poops and more, all of which I will try to make a point of sharing/talking about here in addition to what will hopefully amount to various other content. So, as the title says, here we (read: I) go...
